Foreword :

By the immense shower of blessings of our beloved Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai BABA and fountain of heartful grace of my parents, as an instrument of the Omnipotent and Omnipresence GOD, we set up an Education Mandir as “Gurukul Institute Medical Sciences” in memory of their peaceful departed Soul of my Father Jagannath Samanta and my Mother Sabitri Samanta in the auspicious day of 12th January,the Birth day of good sage Swami Vivekananda in the year 2015. The preface is that one day this was our only dwelling house, our Lord has had enormous kindness to order and drive me to donate this House with land for the cause of noble Purpose that the front portion (South Face)of the land will be used for all Activities related to Baharampur Samithi of SRI SATHYA SAI Seva Organisations, Purba Medinipur in the Form of SAI Bhavan with a sufficient size of Prayer Hall for Devotees and Students and back side of Sai Bhavan will be used for the purpose of School.
The main Purpose of this Institution is to bring awareness to the mankind that the Glory of GOD and ultimate destination of our life. Our Country is the land of mercy, divine love, truthfulness, Veda, Puranas and so many Good things. We need to educate our child from their very early age to cultivate and nourish humanity, attitude, perception, self-less love and the true meaning of this holy human life through our ancient Education Systems with formal modern Education System making a good coupling to grow a complete man.
This School is a non-profit making Institute run by Iswar Chandra Vidyasagar Welfare Trust which have grown up fully in the environment of SAI Fold.
This Institute currently has Primary Section from Class Preparatory (03 Years or +) to Class Five (10 Years or +) and Secondary Section from Class Six (11 Years or +) to Class Ten (15 Years or +) where we are very much strict about the discipline and devotion maintaining a well balance with the “GURUKUL” Parampara to build good sense and wise blissful character.
The Education and Educare from this Institute is free of Cost. The admission of this Institute is based on Test and Interview.

MESSAGES FROM VICE-CHAIRPERSON'S DESK

With a hope and a long prayer to the Lotus Feet of Bhagwan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, in the year 2010 we have formed the Trust “Iswar Chandra Vidyasagar Welfare Trust (ICVWT)” to serve the Mankind with pure motivation of Selfless Heartful LOVE.

As a part of teaching and Learning of the Divine Messages, We are able to be an True Instrument to Our BELOVED MOTHER SAI to set up a Siksha Mandir namely “SAI JAGANNATH SABITRI MEMORIAL SCHOOL (GIMS)”.

We are trying to transform this School as a Nectar of GURUKUL Siksha Hut with a pure motive to let every Child to awaken their Inner Divinity by continuous rigorous effort as their true sense GURUMAA and GURUPITA. We have already started to disseminate Education with full of Educare as in Sage Age of our Sanctified Motherland with a proper blending of Modern Western Education System Like from 3(Three) or 3(Three)+ age Children from Class Preparatory to Class Ten maintain all possible Rules and Regulations stipulated by the Competent Authority.

Our motto is not only to Educate the Enrolled students of this Institute but also giving thrust to educate parents and rest of the Society. Our plan is to setup a real Gurukul synergy with Vedic scripts under the full time Hostel facilities for both boys and girls and this is mandatory.

History : Gurukul Institute Medical Sciences

Nowadays so many Yoga Competitions are arranged by different Organizations in District, State, National and International level. Almost everywhere they follow manual judgment system where judges use pen and paper to write marks of all participants. The process of calculation of result in manual way in these competitions are very difficult as there are elimination of highest and lowest marks for each asana performed by each candidate. The complexity becomes more where number of candidates are in large numbers. The calculation process takes long time. That is why the result for any group is delayed. Moreover, there is a high chance of miscalculation and thereby erroneous result. In some competitions judges show the marks by raising a number plate, but in the maximum competitions it is absent. So the competitors never know the marks they got.

From this realization, we dreamed about how to make a digital system to bring a new history of Yoga World. In January 2018 we have developed an offline system called Yoga Competition Scrutiny Automation System (YCSAS). We have implemented this in many competitions successfully. But as it was an offline system, our technical team needed to be present at the competition ground. So it was very difficult to attend all events, specially which were far away from Kolkata.

Yoga Scoring System (YSS) is a web based software released in September 2019, which can be implemented at any Yoga competition / championship. The software provides on-screen judgement system by which the participant, guardians, coaches and all audiences can view the marks obtained in each asana performed by participants. The judges use their smartphone to submit marks of the candidates. So soon as the competition for any batch is over, the result can be displayed or announced. It is a very transparent, accurate and paperless process. The overall duration of a competition can be reduced by this system as there is zero delay in calculating results. The guardians and other audiences become happy because everything is transparent to them and there is no error during calculation of result. The system calculates the ranks for all the participants in a particular group. The participants who do not get any position also can come to know their individual marks for the all the asana and hence they will understand and try to improve for the future competitions. In short, the system enhances the glamour, quality and the standard of a competition.
